LARK CREEK WALNUT CREEK RAISES ALMOST $15,000 TO BENEFIT WALNUT CREEK LIBRARY FOUNDATION AT ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

(Walnut Creek, CA—July, 2005)—Toasting 10 years in the Walnut Creek community, Lark Creek Walnut Creek and the Lark Creek Restaurant Group hosted a grand soiree to benefit the new Downtown Walnut Creek Library on July 18 at Lark Creek Walnut Creek.

Showcasing the seasonal farm-fresh cuisine of Lark Creek Walnut Creek Chef/Co-Proprietor Bradley Ogden and Chef/Partner Vincent Herrera, paired with plenty of Iron Horse bubbly to mark the celebration, the evening raised close to $15,000 from book donations, auction items, raffle prizes and entry to the event.

Says Chef Vince Herrera, “the evening was an ultimate expression of Lark Creek Walnut Creek’s place in the community. We have watched this city grow in leaps and bounds. Raising funds for the new Walnut Creek Library, gives us a further opportunity to support our growing community.

Raffle and auction items included a home visit from Bradley Ogden, who will prepare dinner with fine wines for ten guests; tickets to the Carlos Santana at the Chronicle Pavilion in Concord; a gourmet dinner for six guests hosted by Bay Area radio personality Narsai David with wines from his cellar at The Lark Creek Inn and a day aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train.

“The evening truly showed how much Lark Creek Walnut Creek appreciates the vibrant Walnut Creek community,” says Renne Zeimer of the City of Walnut Creek. “In turn, the community has embraced them.”
